Gillian loves to use the camera. She loves to take pictures of all her fav things. We have lots of pictures of her pink blanket, her special stuffed animals, really good pictures of Lincoln (she always takes good ones of him, it is awesome) and pictures of me in the most unflattering poses and angles. Well, sometimes she gets the camera down without asking and I have to tell her over and over to not do that, she isn't old enough yet and she needs help turning it on. Suffice it to say that Gillian knows everything. She doesn't need help, she's four years old now and she can do it herself. (Something I have had drilled into my brain by my sweet know-it-all daughter). The other night I was here by myself with the kids (I think Jake was teaching his inopportune night class) and I was in the kitchen making dinner. I heard the kids playing in Gillian's room with her kitchens...yes two! Refer to my Christmas post. So I didn't think about them much, usually Lincoln will scream and cry if anything happens and I was just enjoying being in the kitchen by myself! So after I got things into the oven to bake I came back to find Gillian with the camera and I heard her mutter "This stinkin' thing won't work". Yikes! I took it back from her and realized that she had taken no pictures but twenty (I am not exaggerating!) videos. Some were just a second, but some were a minute or two. I have picked some of my favorites for you viewing pleasure. The camera is broken. Sometimes it will take a picture or two, but sometimes it gets really fuzzy and blurry and won't work. Bummer. So I apologize for the pictures from hence forth, they might look like we live in dust or in a big snowstorm in our house.
Above: Gillian hits the dang thing to make it work, always a good idea. I think she got that one from her dad. Hehehe.
Above and Below: She then starts turning the on/off switch back and forth from video through all the picture settings, also a very good idea to "fix" the problem. The last one is right before I caught her.
