Before I start, I just have to say I love this dorky pic of her...there just aren't enough pics of her being silly. We had a real low key affair for Gillian's birthday this year. (It actually was on the 11th so I am late in writing this down) Call me lazy, I just didn't want to throw her a party with her friends from church and school. Her birthday was on a Sunday, so we decided to celebrate on Saturday. We took her to see Bolt in 3-D. It was a cute movie, not one of my favorites but still good. We went to the mall to the play place. Gillian and Lincoln love this place. Lincoln really gets excited watching all the kids run around and through him. He loves to get knocked down...weird huh? We took Gillian to the candy store in the mall to pick out one treat. She chose jelly beans. (I think Jake talked her into it because he loves them) and then we went home to have dinner and cake and presents. I had asked Gillian what she wanted for her birthday dinner and she said pot pies. Fine, throw some in the microwave and that was fine with me. Well, I made them and served her and she told me that that wasn't what she asked for. She wanted "bean soup". Oh well, at least there is cake. I didn't even make her cake. She said she wanted strawberry cream cake. I bought an angel food cake cut up strawberries and topped it with cool whip. We sang to her and brought her the cake. She told me I got the wrong cake...she wanted strawberry ice cream cake. Oh well, at least there are presents. She was happy with what she got. (Mostly the Tinkerbell movie *so cute* and her Princess Aurora tea set). So all in all a good day for her even though I messed most of it up...Oh well, at least there's next year!
