I told Jake that he would think it was silly for him to get a fondue pot for Christmas until he actually got to use it. I bet he gets sick of me always being right....Anyway, we wrote up our personal and family goals for 2009 and ate our yummy chocolate fondue (Twinkies dipped in chocolate is the best!) and had a great time.
We thought about how 2008 was a crazy year for our family. So much happened! We had a baby, graduated and got a PhD, Jake lost his best friend. My sister moved to Seattle and we got to take a family vacation and visit her there. We accomplished so much and were so richly blessed by another beautiful baby...who could ask for more!?
We are so thankful for the blessings we have in our lives and thankful for the gospel that takes us through all the good and bad times this life has to offer. We look forward to this new year with optimism and a hope that we can improve ourselves and our family and accomplish what will be set before us with a good attitude and hopefully find success.

Mmm...that fondue looks yummy. I'm the same way with wanting a set but realizing with little ones we would probably never use it. Way to go writing down your resolutions!
Everything looks so cute and good. Love your kids pics with christmas etc...Glad you and Jake got a fun night alone!
