Interesting...

This isn't a advertisement for Harmony Kids...I do shop there from time to time, as well as Once Upon a Child. I receive a newsletter from HK and they put in some interesting info:

If case you haven't heard a bill was passed in Congress in the fall that will ban the sale of children's clothes, toys, etc. for sizes 12 and under unless the items have been checked for lead content. I don't need to tell you the widespread effects of this bill. Learn more here.We need your help to keep resale stores in business after Feb. 10. Please write to Congresswoman Betsy Markey and ask her to support new legislation to protect resale stores.Until we know if the new law will be amended in some way or overturned, we will accept new items on a consignment-only basis. That means we will pay you for your items after they sell. If all goes well, Spring buying will begin March 3. Please be patient with us during this difficult time for our business. Come and shop. We still have a fabulous inventory. See below what is waiting for you at HK.

What ever your view this bill will have an affect on a lot of people. Some things I just can't afford to buy new. I understand that this bill probably has merit, but will it end up hurting us rather than helping us?
