Activity Day Girls to the Rescue!
So as everyone is well aware now, I had a bad day the other day...I had Activity Days that night and I knew I needed a change in attitude. For those of you who are not aware, Activity Days is for girls in our church ages 8-12 years. We meet every other Wednesday night and work on activities to get them ready for Young Women ( for ages 12-18), memorize the Articles of Faith, learn more about our faith and help them to gain a testimony, or belief and faith, in the things we are taught at church. It is so much fun to work with these girls. It was hard for me to completely let go of my bad mood, but as usual when I get to be with the youth at church my mood is always lifted. We had a great acitivity that night. We talked about how the girls were unique and special even though we have many differences between us. We talked about how we can all lift each other and how we can also bring each other down. My fellow leader Jennie (bless her heart) had a great idea to have each girl's parent write their daughter a letter expressing their love for them. We had the girls read them to themselves during our meeting and Jennie and I had to hold the waterworks in. There was such a sweet spirit in that room. It uplifted me and made me feel better. I am so thankful for my calling to work with these special girls. They rescued me from my awful state.
