Milestones

Gillian caught her first fish! Jake took her fishing the other night in Wellington and she walked away victorious! There were a few hang ups, right after they got there and set up for fishing, Gillian announced that she had to pee. Of course. Jake had to drive her into Wellington township and take her to a gas station. Yuck. She got ice cream though so she was nice and sticky when they got back to the lake. Of course that led to a mosquito attack to her body that has left her looking like she is a leper. Poor thing. But, she caught a fish! Yay!
I just *love* the pose!
This picture is much better. I don't know if you can see the trickle of blood coming down the fish but she sure noticed!
As for Lincoln, he sleeps in a big boy bed! I know what some of you are saying (He is too small for that!) Well, I partly agree but the kid is a climber and has been getting closer to getting out of his pack n play so it was time. We debated on buying a regular bed or toddler bed but our decision was made when neighbors were selling their toddler bed for $20. It is plastic and close to the ground so he can't hurt the bed, but more importantly he can't hurt himself!
The first night was a little shaky. I thought the first nap he took in their would be worse but he was exhausted from playing outside in the hot sun he passed out quick (no, not from heat exhaustion :p ). The last couple of nights we haven't had to go in at all. It is exciting that he is growing up but also so sad. My baby no more.

My sweet sleeping boy.

That's exciting for Gillian. I know how you feel about the Lincoln climbing out of his pack and play, Shyler is teetering on trying to climb out of her crib... even scarier because it is so high from the ground. I started looking on Craigslist for a toddler bed for her too! Glad to hear he is doing well so far in it! (Shyler has the same glowworm! We hear it at night sometimes when she is supposed to be sleeping)
